JOB SUMMARY

The Ticket Sales Associate is responsible for maximizing revenue by selling a full assortment of ticket products including, but not limited to full and partial plan season ticket packages and group sales.

JOB RELATIONSHIPS

• Reports To:    Ticket Sales Manager

GAME/EVENT RESPONSIBILITIES

• Game night responsibilities: Yes
• Approximate number of games worked per season: 24

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proactively prospect, present, and close various ticket products including, but not limited to full and partial plan season ticket packages and group sales.
• Sell full seasons tickets, partial plans, group tickets, and hospitality for the Orlando Magic and designated non-Magic events primarily via:
o Face to face, external client meetings
o Magic home games
o Profiling
o Networking at outside events
o Some phone prospecting
o Seeking and implementing sales and service best practices
o Thorough data capture and personal database management
• Participate in face to face, external client meetings regularly (50% of schedule workweek) or more) with the purpose of generating revenue through the full menu of Orlando Magic ticket products.
• Create and develop new business by regularly pitching new prospects through in-arena tours, external appointments, phone prospecting and events.
• Effectively follow up with customers and prospective customers in order to build relationships to help provide repeat business.
• Meet and/or exceed weekly/monthly sales and activity goals.
• Maintain detailed records in CRM to support sales efforts as defined by the organization.
• Active role in the game day experience to develop relationships and generate new leads.
• Work majority of home games and sales events to develop and maintain relationships with clients and generate new leads.
• Demonstrate commitment to teamwork and work synergistically to achieve department and organization goals.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Makes decisions guided by precedent and based on company policy.
• All other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor degree or professional equivalent experience required.
• Prior experience in ticket sales, telemarketing, appointment scheduling or cold-calling techniques is preferred.
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills required.
• Experience with ticket inventory software programs (I.E. Archtics, CRM, SAS) preferred.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office products and other related computer skills required .
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
• Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
• Strong team synergy skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
• Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the department.

Group Sales Account Executive - Orlando Magic (Orlando, FL)

JOB SUMMARY

 

Generate maximum revenue for the Orlando Magic organization via full-menu product sales of season tickets, partial plans, group tickets and hospitality to companies and individuals.

GAME/EVENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Event night responsibilities:  No
  • Approximate number of events worked per season: None

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate maximum revenue for the Orlando Magic through full-menu selling of ticket products.

  • Sell group tickets, hospitality rentals, season tickets and partial plans for the Orlando Magic and designated non-Magic events via:

      • Cold calling

      • Lead generation at Magic home games

      • Prospecting / Profiling

      • Networking at outside events

      • Seeking and implementing sales and service best practices

      • Thorough data capture and personal database management

  • Create and develop new business by regularly pitching new prospects through in-arena tours, external appointments, and phone prospecting.

  • Work to grow existing group/hospitality and theme night events, and develop, plan and execute new events.

  • Renew group/hospitality accounts; establish and maintain strong relationships with key group contacts to grow involvement of renewing accounts each year.

  • Manage all season ticket and partial plan accounts and work with the service department to provide the highest level of customer service throughout the season.

  • Execute sold group /hospitality events and theme nights on game days or in-game (Fan Experiences such as Kid’s Tunnels, Pre-Game performances) 

  • Work at Orlando Magic home games:  staffing designated ticket sales stations, fulfilling events, visiting newly-sold customers, and prospecting new sales.
  • Demonstrate commitment to teamwork and ability to adhere to company policies and procedures.

  • Attend and actively participate in weekly department meetings.

  • Meet with Group Sales Manager regularly producing accurate updates on prospecting activity, sales performance, outside appointment and event recaps, and account management.
  • Attend outside events with the purpose of selling ticket packages in conjunction with the marketing department.
  • Exceed weekly activity expectations on a consistent basis set by management.
  • Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities and closed sales.
  • Make decisions with little choice as to the methods and procedures used in achieving results.

  • Minimum two years prior sales experience with proven sales results and ability to build strong relationships required.
  • Sell $300,000 of full season tickets, partial plans, group premium tickets and hospitality for the Orlando Magic and designated non-Magic events.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.
    • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products, CRM, and other related computer skills required.

    • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.

    • Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.

  • Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
